Morning 7:00 Am the temp. was around 7 Deg. Freezing , also coupled with heavy wind which doubled the cooling effect ,

 

SIEMENS Team Lead by Sharjil includes Khalid Maruf , Azeem , Anees , Adeel Qureshi , Karthik Venugopalan , Sakthi , Shaid , Prasad , Khan Faisal & Prabhu ,

 

Huwaei Team won the toss & opted to bat first , they batted decently finding boundaries very frequently , Where as in the SIEMENS side many midfields which could have reduced the total , many catches dropped as well , On the bowling side few extras as well ,  The first break through came from Prasad after 8 Consecutive wides , Azeem , Khan Faisal , Shaid , Khalid , Sharjil did a decent job to bring down the scoring rate & stop them at 185  ,

 

SIEMENS Batting line-up had a Major change , Khalid gave up his opening slot to Anees & Prabhu to prop up them by giving them a chance , Anees utilized the opportunity started to attack the bowlers from the very beginning , Prabhu supported Anees did find few boundaries , Anees did his best hitting two sixes what a hidden talent , A class batting from him , but over all the RR was not met ,  Then Anees was rested and Khan Faisal was brought in to accelerate the score , He started to deliver the required in his style , scattering the balls to the boundaries , picking up quick singles & doubles , Prabhu Caught behind was replaced by Sharjil lost his wicket in a similar manner to a Bouncer ,

 

Though it was called No-Ball but a bouncer in a over is allowed the decision ‘Out’ was given , Khalid a great confidence to SIEMENS was sent to crease but lost his wicket early in the process of score acceleration , Then the Wickets started to fall after Khan Faisal dismissal , Shaid , Karthik ( Caught Behind ) & Sakthi , Sakthi had a big greeting from the huawei team , his name was famous but went after a wide ball lost his wicket c&b , Karthik was told to play calmly buy attempted for a slow ball was caught behind in the first ball he faced , Prasad went after a slow ball caught in the boundary with a broad smile in his face , Qureshi managed to edge the ball & find two consecutive boundaries lost his wicket in the same over , Azeem who did a great job in the field after a long time got a chance to bat , which did not last long when Qureshi lost his wicket , Finally the team was all-out , in the Tail Enders Qureshi was the highest scorer ,

 

Over All a nice match , but it could have been a tight match if he extras & Mis-fields were controlled from the first over ,

However a big smile in Anees face after revealing his batting talent ,

 

 

 

The lessons learned are to control the extras & Mis-Fields , z`z` z` z` z` z`

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once again a nice Captainship by Sharjil ……………….

Match SIEMENS VS DAR Engineering - Thursday ( 20/12/2012 ) at Eid Gha ground Malaz

 

      Nearly after Five weeks I am writing this blog , due to lack of update & interest from People , In the mean time a Match with DAR Engineering & Areva was lost & a Match with Huwaei was won in the Captainship of Akbar ,

 

      A Wonderful day, the rain has just stopped before an hour , the ground is wet , The wind is heavy its freezing out 12 Deg. , A beautiful Rainbow was spotted during the drive to the ground , A rare natural beauty especially very rare in Saudi Arabia ,  

 

 

 

SIEMENS Captain Sharjil won the Toss & Elected to bat first ,

Team was missing Ammar , Akbar , Rehan , Kaiser & Iqbal Sir , Which was filled by Azeem , Asim & Khan Faisal ,

 

Team SIEMENS opened their innings with Khalid Maruf & Prabhu , both the planners were sent to open the Match , Khalid off the Mark , back on Track ( 53 ) runs , proved his excellence again , Prabhu who usually finds the dressing room early , Spent some time making few runs for the Team (17) , Sharjil tried to accelerate the score but looses his wicket early , Khan Faisal (49) one short of his Fifty great Inning from him , good Partnership between Khalid & Khan Faisal , Then Asim partnered with Khalid Maruf making few useful runs in the end , Khalid Maruf ( Not Out ) stood firmly finding his sixth fifty after falling short in the previous three Matches , He contributed 6 Fifty out of 10 Matches played , well done Khalid , Finally the Team put a total of 178 for 16.0 Overs with Anees , Azeem , Sakthi , Qureshi & Shaid still to bat

 

DAR Engineering Opened their batting with Habib & Saleem , Saleem Catch was dropped by Sakthi , a difficult to hold it in the Winter , Saleem keeps rocketing all the balls over the pavilion , he was seen unstoppable , Habib was in attacking Mode attacking all the balls , He ended his batting with 4 Boundaries , Then DAR Engineering played steadily , Two high catches were dropped by Prabhu in the End bad judgement , Sharjil took a low catch driven straight to him , Shaid opened the bowling attack did his best , Khan Faisal did a fantastic job in bowling as well , Asim as usual stunned their scoring rate , Qureshi did bowl well with four wides only , Sharjil & Khalid also bowled well but the runs were pouring out , DAR Engineering were short of 20 Runs at the end of 16^th over ,

 

SIEMENS won a Match after a long time with DAR Engineering , DAR was not beaten since the return of captain Adeel from vacation , Nice play , a decent enjoyable ,

                                                            

Well it has to be registered a fine captaincy by Sharjil , a Good Job from him ,
